WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue and men’s basketball head coach Matt Painter have agreed to a three-year contract extension lasting through 2021-22, Indy Sports Central has confirmed.
Painter signed an eight-year deal with the Boilers in 2011, following a pressing courtship from the University of Missouri. That deal paid at least $2.3 million per season. Terms of the new deal have not been released.
Painter is a three-time Big Ten Coach of the Year and has led the Black and Gold to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.
